Who’s Hiring – Top employers week of 11-16-10

Who’s Hiring is a weekly survey of companies showing the highest hiring activity for the week of 11/16/10.
The business service, retail, telecommunications, hospitality, transportation, banking and health care are the top industries currently hiring based on a survey of active job advertisements from the nation’s leading job boards.
Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies experiencing growth. Despite the recession, these companies are all expanding.
Total Job Openings week of 11/16/10:
Business Service firms led hiring companies as IBM, Deloitte, SAIC, CSC and Ernst & Young were actively staffing. Retail was next as Advance Auto Parts, Sears, Macy’s, Kmart, Safeway, Lowe’s, Toys “R” Us, RadioShack and Target Mobile by Kiosk were gearing up for the holidays.
Telecommunications was hiring with AT&T and Verizon still staffing actively. Hospitality continued recruiting as Starbucks, Marriott, Cracker Barrel and Hilton continued heavy job advertisements.
Transportation company UPS also continued its holiday hiring season and remained in the top 10 hiring firms. Banking was still staffing as Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo were big advertisers.
Health care rounds out the top of the list as HCR ManorCare, Kaiser Permanente, Gentiva Health, UnitedHealth, DaVita, HCA Healthcare, Genesis Healthcare, Community Health Systems, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Apria Health Care and Amedisys Home Health were top job advertisers.

Job Openings Added This Week – 11/16/10:
The retail, business service, transportation, telecommunications and banking verticals are the top industries with new job postings this week based on a survey of the nation’s leading job advertisements added during the past seven days for the week of 11/16/10.
Retail led new hiring advertisements as Advance Auto Parts, Safeway, JC Penney’s, Triple Point, Sears, Macy’s, Murphy USA, Lowe’s, Chico’s Fashions, RadioShack, Walmart and CVS/Caremark continued holiday hiring this week. Business service was next as IBM, SAIC, Deloitte, Booz Allen, ADP and ACS were included in the week’s top new job ads.
UPS continued its holiday hiring push and was in the top 10 companies with new advertisements this week. Telecommunications advertised for new positions as AT&T and Verizon were in the week’s top new ads.
Banking continued staffing as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase also added advertisements this week.

For the list of 10 top companies that are hiring I feel there should be a list that shows the 10 top companies who are hiring in the USA.
